Elite has established its training philosophy upon a sound method developed by New York’s Dog Whisperer™, Jeff Kolbjornsen called “Realistic Training™”. Since the age of six our Founder and President, Jeff Kolbjornsen, has taken an active interest in the behavior of dogs. Over the years, through the culmination of experimenting with several training techniques in conjunction with extensive research on the behavior of canines, he has developed a keen, in-depth understanding of the mind of "man’s best friend." In using this approach for over 30 years, he has have confirmed that pet problems originate from environmental, medical and generic conditions.

In this style of training, Jeff and his Elite trainers apply real-life scenarios to instruct owners on the proper way to handle their dogs. The foundation with which we train rests on the idea that all dogs can be trained to achieve the level of obedience that is expected of them. Elite’s particular specialty lies in the "deprogramming" of difficult and aggressive dogs. Understanding the thought and action patterns of our canine clients allows us to assess the techniques that are necessary to alter negative behavior to corrected and desired behavior.
